Born in Sydney NSW. At the age of seven I asked my parents... (in the car as we passed the illustrative billboards on the way to the city) “What can I be when I grow up where I can draw?” My Mum replied “A commercial artist“ (as the term was known then).

2 year F/T Graphic Design course at Liverpool and Randwick TAFE. Having over 25 years experience in Advertising as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator at places such as Myer NSW Ltd, Standards Association of Australia, various Advertising Agencies, 2IC of Creative Services at Cumberland Newspaper Group (News Limited) to name a few.

My own business is MJM Artistry formally known as Bearart which entails an extensive range of all round work.

Illustration in a wide range of different styles and mediums for private commissions, book illustration, various large and small business. Product illustrations, artists impressions and logo designs for organisations.

Fine Artist in a variety of mediums, receiving 1st prizes and awards with many pieces auctioned for substantial amounts for specialist groups and charities such as The Children’s Cancer Institute, Ronald McDonald House, Animal Welfare League, The Royal NSW Canine Council Library and Archives, Siberian Express Sled Dog Racing Club and Canine Education. Private collections of commissioned works in Australia and USA. Works exhibited and sold at Sydney Royal Easter Show, Art Galleries and Exhibitions.

Nepean Arts and Design Centre, TAFE 2 yr F/T Diploma of Graphic Design Graduate 2005, awarded 1st Place with 19 out of 19 distinctions, updating and refining my skills for the passion I have had for most of my life in art and design. You never know everything, your always learning.

2008/2009, appointed on judging panel for two national art competitions with other renowned artists.

2010, Oldbury the Painting of a historical home in the Southern Highlands of NSW.

Designer of concept and initiator for the Colour of Hope Poster Exhibition and postcards. The Hope posters are donated by the highly reputable, creatively talented students and staff from the Nepean Arts and Design Centre TAFE who work together with the amazing team of the Breast Cancer Institute of NSW. This enables them to raise awareness, education and fund-raising by communicating a message through Graphic Design and Illustration, producing a vibrant, graphically creative exhibition. The Colour of Hope Poster exhibition started in 2006 and has been running every year since.

Various
2007 to 2009 as part time design and illustration teacher at Nepean Arts and Design Centre with Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAA40104.

2007 to 2010 worked closely with Professor John Boyages, MD, PhD, founder and former Director of Westmead Breast Cancer Institute NSW. Contributing illustrations and graphics for his book Breast Cancer: Taking Control that has been published as a PDF E-book and in hard copy. Available in Australia, UK and USA, launched 14th September 2010.

In 2011 I joined the committee for the Bowral and Moss Vale Sesquicentenary 1863-2013 (150th Anniversary) celebrations, being a proud member of the Moss Vale & Southern Highlands communities I created a branding package for these celebrations, for more information see my illustration, digital & design gallery: Click Here

From 2009 to 2019 MossGlen Studio has opened its doors to the public during the Southern Highlands Art Studio Trail which occurs on the first two weekends of November, this program is facilitated by the Wingecarribee Shire Council, the exhibition features a variety of fine art and design works which is always well received by our visitors.
